Set up my FTP storage

Access via web browser

Open www.fastftp.ch in your web browser.
Enter the user name and password which you’ve received by e-mail.
You can change the password at any time under Settings Main user

After logging in, you will immediately see the start folder and the existing files.
To upload files, click on Upload in the menu bar on the right. Select the desired files in the window that now opens. Click Open to upload them to the Premium FTP.
Uploading is also possible with Drag & Drop. You can upload entire folders with Drag & Drop.
Please note that only files up to a maximum size of 2 GB can be uploaded with the web browser.

The web interface is mobile-compatible and can therefore also be easily operated via smartphone.

Set up guest users

Log in using the browser at www.fastftp.ch
Open the Settings in the sidebar on the left.
Click on Guests in the menu bar at the top.
Now click on the button Create guest user.
Create a user name. The addition [Your subscription name] behind the input field is part of the user name and cannot be changed for technical reasons. When the guest user logs in, the addition must be used as part of the user name.
The password is freely selectable.
Define the start directory by clicking on the folder symbol. Select the desired folder(s) that your guest users may access.
Confirm this with Select.
Click on Save. The guest user is now set up. By default, he has read access and execute: rx

IMPORTANT NOTE: The check mark for Execute (x) must always be set for technical reasons. Deactivating this tick will result in the guest user not being able to log in.

Note: The guest user only has access to the contents of the start directory folder. Higher-level directories are blocked for the guest user.

Activate access rights of guest users

In the user administration of the guest users (Settings Guests), the column Access rights is visible in the right part of the window. By default, the access authorisation rx is set up for each guest. Click on the entry rx in the corresponding line of the guest user to be changed.

In the Access Rights dialogue box, select the checkmarks as desired, Read (r)Write (w). Also tick the option Apply permission to all subfolders

Press Save. When the guest user logs in again, he or she now has read and write permission.

Deleting a guest user

In the user administration of the guest users (Guest settings), you can remove the tick from Active in the line of the desired guest user on the right-hand side. The corresponding entry is now displayed in light colour and the tick at Active is removed. The user is inactive, but not deleted. Clicking on Active again changes the status again.

Delete the guest user permanently by clicking on Delete.

Right-click on This PC.
Select Add network address.
Click twice on Next and then enter the Swiss Premium FTP address of your server, the user name and the password: ftp://benutzername:passwort@ftppro.ch
Enter a name for the network address.
Finish.

You will now find a folder with the selected name under"This PC. This points directly to your Swiss Premium FTP online storage.

Access via MAC OS Finder

Access is also possible directly with Apple's file manager, the MAC OS Finder.
Open the Finder and then click on the tab Go to? Connect to server. You can also do this with the key combination cmd+K.
Now enter the Swiss Premium FTP address of your server with the user name ftp://benutzername@ftppro.ch and click on Connect.
Now select Connect as registered user and enter your password. Finish by clicking on Connect.
You now have access to the data via the Finder.
By pressing ALT+CMD at the same time, you can drag and drop the icon onto the desktop. Whenever you need the share, simply double-click the new icon on the desktop and you are connected to the FTP server.
Important: With the Finder you can only download the files. Uploading new files to the server is unfortunately not possible this way.
