Set up server access

You will find the required access data in the e-mail you received from us.

 


 

Access to Windows Server

 

RDP is provided on TCP port 3389 by default.

 

RDP under Windows

The access to a Windows server is done via RDP protocol. To do this, open the Remote Desktop app on your Windows computer.

 


 

Linux server access

 

SSH is provided on TCP port 22 by default.

 

Access via Windows

Windows does not have an SSH client installed by default. You can find free software for this purpose on the Internet.
We recommend the SSH client Putty

 

Access via Linux:

SSH clients are included with every Linux distribution. There are several graphical clients available for Gnome/KDE.
A connection via command line is established with the command: ssh

 

Access via MAC:

To establish an SSH connection, start the terminal under service programs. The connection is established by default with the login data from your MAC via port 22.
You can also customize the username and port. To do this, enter the following command:

ssh IP address -l username -p port number

 

Access via Android:

Download the ConnectBot for you Smartphone / Tablet from Google Play or F-Droid

  • Install and open the application
  • Create a new connection
  • Enter your username and IP address

Access via IOS:

For your Apple device, download the SSH-client Termius.
