How can I delete data from guest users as a main user?

When files or folders are uploaded by a guest user, that user is automatically the owner. By default, you therefore have read-only access to this data. To get full access to all data, please proceed as follows:

    • Log in to the web interface
    • Select under Settings > Main User: "Reset access rights"
    • As "owner" you can now delete the data or reset the rights

Change access right to a single folder:

    • Log in to the web interface
    • Select the desired folder
    • Open the pop-up with a "right click"
    • Select "Reset access rights
    • As "owner" you can now delete the data or reset the rights

You may also have hidden files in the folders and therefore cannot delete them.

    • Connect to your online storage with the FTP client
    • Select View > Show hidden files
    • Now try to delete the corresponding data in the FTP client

If you still cannot delete the data, please contact our support.

Is my FTP storage also accessible with my domain?

Yes, you can access your FTP Storage under your own domain or subdomain.
For example, the subdomain might look like this: cloud.mydomain.ch

We will send you the details for the DNS entry by e-mail.
The FTP server is set up in such a way that your connection is also established via a secure, encrypted link. We will automatically set up the required SSL certificate for you.

What is FTP and what is the purpose of this storage?

FTP allows you to transfer files between multiple computers easily and quickly. What is special about FTP online storage and how it works, we explain below.

    What is FTP?

FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol". It is a so-called protocol, more precisely a communication protocol. The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is one of the oldest protocols on the Internet. The technology has been used to transfer complete files since 1974.

    • A communication protocol regulates the conditions under which files are transferred between several computers. Among communication protocols, FTP belongs to the group of network protocols.
    • FTP is used to exchange data between several computers in a network.
    • You can download files from an FTP server, upload files and also view and modify the folder structure on the server.

What is the purpose of FTP storage?
To download files from an FTP server or upload them to the server, you need access by means of a user name and password.

    • Use FTP storage to transfer data from one computer to another
